If a dinner party sounds too formal, why not just plan a family picnic out on the lake? Even if your vessel lacks a galley or other cooking options, you can still make surprisingly complex meals by doing the prep work beforehand and bringing it with you. How you set up a movie night is up to you. Some people will be happy with a laptop with a DVD player or a movie pre-downloaded. Others will want to get the full experience and set up a sheet and projector. Just make sure that you have a good power source on hand to keep everything running.

Depending upon the amount of deck room you have and the size of your club, your boat can be an interesting place to hold a meeting.
